Dear Movie Companies 11.21.2011

What are you thinking? Seriously. When Mr. Titanic came out with his 3D concept it was kind of fun, but what do we have to do to make you guys realize that putting -every- movie in 3D doesn't attribute something positive to the movie going experience?

3D movies are more expensive to go to. You have to wear annoying glasses. If you're unlucky one of your eyes might be a little out of focus, it will have you continuously move the glasses around to find that sweet spot where the image becomes clear again. When viewing any action scene in 3D things are so horrible it's hard to find anything to focus on, because it all goes by so fast. Lastly, 3D movies are more expensive!

I've never heard anybody, ever, say "Wow, that 3D in this movie really gave me the ride of my life, I almost jumped out of my chair because of that bullet that flew at me/that knife they threw at the camera 32 times/explosion shrapnel that came my way/axe wielding maniac chopped at the door/that guy's fist almost hit me in the jaw when he tried to punch Christian Bale". I believe there was even a little research done on the matter with the "surprising" outcome that 3D movies barely, if at all, left any better impression than their non-3D counterparts.

Whenever I see a trailer which proudly proclaims "IN 3D! Coming Soon" I roll my eyes and think "Why bother?".

Oh, and another thing; DVD Copyright/Piracy notices! How awesomely retarded are you people? No, seriously. I already bought your stupid product, are you seriously going to bother and annoy me with forced ads, forced piracy notices, forced copyright disclaimers? Now -THAT- is a totally understandable reason to actually download things in the first place, because I don't get any of that! If I pay good money for something, please don't ruin the experience for me by pulling the crap that's standard on DVDs now :(

How do you expect people to stop piracy when the first thing you shove in their faces after they pop in a store bought DVD is "DON'T PIRATE MOVIES OR WE'LL HAVE YOU ARRESTED AND ABUSED BY THE FBI! THIS DVD IS COPY PROTECTED! HERE, PLEASE CHECK OUT THIS INSANELY LONG MENU INTRO YOU CAN'T SKIP THROUGH!"? Considering the alternative is "Go to TPB, search and download a movie, play on 21~27" iMac".. catch my drift?
