God has a plan 10.08.2011

After watching a video like this, you cannot possibly come up with an insane explanation like "God wants us to help eachother".

I can't stomach this kind of response. It's so thick with selfdelusion that I wonder how a person can watch this video, justify it saying something like that and still be able look themselves in the eye.

A loving god does not allow this to happen. A caring father would do something about this himself, directly. A good and just deity would never use millions of children dying in the most horrible circumstances, just to 'teach other people a lesson'. What kind of a cruel and barbaric way to teach is this?

Seriously, picture this. Would you call me a loving father if I let 3 of my 5 children sleep outside during winter without food or shelter? In the hope that my other two kids might one day notice them and learn how valuable it is to help their brothers and sisters. Then when my other kids finally see how hungry and close to death the other children are, would you then say that it was through the inspiration of me, their father, that they went out and gave them food? Was my inaction instrumental in teaching them the value of life? Can you honestly say I loved the children I left out to die?

This is exactly what you're doing when you justify all the horrible things in this world by saying "God has a plan" or even worse "Thank God that those charity givers were there to help the needy!".

Is it that hard to see that they aren't there because of god, they are there in spite of him.

Grrrr this just rubs me the wrong way... here's another clip, it's more lighthearted

I am glad that you understood the message of my vid and posted it here. I also like your analogy about the father and five kids.
Take care and thanks,
